Peace of God and No Worry in 2013.

Rev. Gary G. Langley - PastorAs this New Year of 2013 has come upon us.  Many seem to have worry or anxiety building up in them.  We need to understand exactly what Paul was telling us in the study of the book of Philippians.

Philippians 4:6 tells us “Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God.”

See we need to understand that worry or anxiety does not accomplish much.  “Anxiety is like the rust of life, destroying its brightness and weakening it power.  A childlike and abiding trust in Providence is its best preventive and remedy.”

So when you see the pressures of life arise.  Go to the Lord and seek His face.  Pray and pray continually and then be thankful for the love of Jesus that will flow abundantly to you with the answers.  God knows exactly where you are and what you need.

Philippians 4:7 tells us ” and the Peace of God, which surpasses all understanding(comprehension), shall guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.”

We need to be reminded often that when we seek the Lord His Peace will be upon us.  We do not always understand why He touches us and hears us at times.  Yet, we know that His love for us is full of Grace and loads of Mercy.  You can not imagine just how much Jesus guards your hearts and how much He is there to protect your minds.   Just remember that Jesus is in you as a “Believer in Christ”.

Spurgeon once said:  “Brethren, be great believers.  Little faith will bring your souls to heaven, but great faith will bring heaven to your souls”.
